My connection with Hospice Peterborough happened one year ago when I lost my Uncle Orville. Orville was an incredible family man, community member, volunteer fire fighter and loved by all .rnHe spent the last days of his life at the Hospice Peterborough and while it was a very challenging time, the staff and volunteers did everything they could to care for my uncle, his family and friends. My Uncle loved his ice cream, the cook went out and got him Chocolate Haagen Daz to eat! They had a special room for the grandchildren to play in, a lot of visitors were able to come see him in his beautiful bright room overlooking the gardens. His family was able to stay with him 24/7 while being very well supported by Hospice Peterborough amazing's team My uncle and his family were very apprehensive about leaving his home during his final days, however the Hospice Peterborough with such attentive, compassionate and knowledgeable staff and volunteers, made this transition easier. Please donate if you can, the Hospice Peterborough is an incredibly unique and beautiful place.
